Vintage National Glass Lingerie Washboard #860 1940s.
I found this treasure at an estate sale. It is in good shape but has some dings and staining look all pictures. The imprint on the back is slightly faded, but is good. The imprint on the front is very good and lends some added history to this piece. The ribbed glass "board" is called "lingerie glass" and the glass is stamped National. Glass was used in washboards during periods of war when metal was needed for the war effort and in short supply. You can make out the name Glass King on the back. If you enjoy unique antiques, this one fits the bill. Use for a decorative wall piece or add to your collection of memorabilia of days gone by. This piece is vintage used and very good shape for its age. Examine picture picture # 6 and read description. 24" tall x 12.5" across x 1.75" thick.
