Original 1920s California National Guard field encampment photograph taken in the San Gabriel Mountains, most likely along the East Fork of the San Gabriel River (pre-1938 flood). Clear view of long tent rows, vehicles, eucalyptus-lined canyon road, and the mountain backdrop.

This photo was produced by Wilton Photo-Film Service, Los Angeles, a known commercial photographer active in Southern California during the 1918–1930s period. The terrain and pre-flood road layout strongly match the East Fork area near Heaton Flats or Camp Bonita, where Guard units regularly trained during the interwar years.

Estimated date: 1926–1931.
