This gem was regarded by the pharaohs of ancient Egypt as a gift from the gods and the mine was more closely guarded than any other location in all of ancient Egypt. They mined for it at night by torch light when they could see the gems reflecting from the torch light. Mined out many many years ago this material has nearly become non existent on the market today.
