Hello! This is an absolutely beautiful antique 14k Yellow Gold Romany Signed Natural Round White Opal Buttercup Solitaire Ring. This dates from around the late Victorian era of about 1910 and features a stunning opal placed in the center of a beautiful 14k yellow gold buttercup flower setting. The buttercup measures 3/8 in and the opal itself measures 1/4 in. My heart diamond is 3 carats, so you can see the nice size of this opal and buttercup in comparison. The gold and band is thick and heavy as you can see in the pictures. The opal has a nice fire when the sunlight hits the stone. It’s in absolutely beautiful condition for its age with very little (if any) wear to the gold band or opal. This ring reminds me of Princess Buttercup from the Princess bride.
